今天的題目看起來有點長，不過同學知道主題，掌握主結構後，就不用害怕囉！很多同學害怕句意解析，其實解決的方法就是多記單字和文法，就算你真的學不會解構句子，至少能看得懂，才能多加練習，找到解題的訣竅！

Step 1：瀏覽句意，找出主結構，“Experts claim” (專家主張)。介係詞片語“of birth-order theory”(出生順序理論)當形容詞，修飾名詞experts。合併之後 à出生順序理論的專家主張。

Step 2：名詞子句“that only children not only have many of the same characteristics as the oldest but often overdo them.”(獨生子女不僅與長子、長女有相同的特性，還會經常做得過分)當claim的受詞。合併之後→出生順序理論的專家主張，獨生子女不僅與長子或長女有相同的特性，還會經常做得過分。背後的含意：獨生子女就像長子或長女。
